Welcome to the Academy of Herbal Medicine!

Herbal medicine is the People's Medicine. Since I trained as a Shamanic Herbal Apprentice with herbalist Susun S. Weed in the Catskill Mountains of New York in the Spring and Summer of 2008, my perspective has changed considerably.

Early in my life I experienced serious health challenges, which led me to believe I wanted to be a doctor. After a straight-A semester at Purdue as an Engineering/PreMed student, I just wasn't feeling it. So, I took a year off and wound up going to a liberal arts school as a Philosophy and Economics double major.
