Grammar (K–12): Old-Fashioned Grammar & Composition

This Grammar course provides students with a thorough, old-fashioned understanding of the English language. Instruction focuses on the mechanics of grammar—parts of speech, sentence structure, usage, and composition—taught in a clear and orderly progression. Students learn not only to identify grammatical elements, but to apply them through writing, correction, and sentence construction.

Rather than relying on modern shortcuts or implicit instruction, this course emphasizes direct teaching, repetition, and mastery. Younger students build strong foundational skills, while older students refine precision, style, and logical expression. Sentence diagramming and careful analysis reinforce understanding and develop disciplined thinking that carries into all areas of learning.
