A foundational algebra course covering equations, functions, graphs, and systems to prepare students for advanced mathematics.
Johanna Maaghul
Algebra I develops the foundational algebraic thinking required for higher-level mathematics and real-world problem solving. Students learn to represent relationships using variables, expressions, equations, functions, and graphs. Emphasis is placed on logical reasoning, symbolic manipulation, and modeling quantitative situations. The course builds fluency with linear relationships, systems of equations, and introductory quadratic concepts using openly available instructional materials aligned to secondary mathematics standards.
