This two-part class with Dr. Carrie Madej explores the rapidly emerging movement known as transhumanism and the technologies designed to merge biology with machines, artificial intelligence, and synthetic systems. Participants will learn what transhumanism proposes, who is driving the movement, the goals behind it, and how these developments may impact human health, autonomy, and the future of humanity.
Carrie Madej, DO
Humanity is entering a period of unprecedented technological change. Advances in artificial intelligence, nanotechnology, genetic engineering, and bio-digital systems are being developed with the goal of altering or enhancing human capabilities. These developments form the foundation of a growing global movement known as transhumanism.
In this two-part course, Dr. Carrie Madej examines what transhumanism is, how it emerged, and what it proposes for the future of the human body and mind. Participants will explore the philosophical question at the center of the movement—what it means to be human—and how emerging technologies aim to modify, augment, or potentially replace aspects of human biology.
NOTE: Session II will be highly interactive with generous room for student Q&A and dialogue with Carrie.
The course will introduce the major organizations, corporations, and thought leaders advancing transhumanist ideas and examine the stated goals of the movement, including human enhancement, biological integration with technology, and the pursuit of extended lifespan or digital consciousness.
Dr. Madej will also review the technologies being developed to support these goals, including synthetic biology, nanotechnology, brain-computer interfaces, and bio-digital surveillance systems. Participants will learn how these systems are being introduced into healthcare, medicine, and consumer technologies.
While proponents describe potential benefits such as medical breakthroughs and enhanced capabilities, the course will also examine the ethical, biological, and spiritual risks associated with altering human biology and integrating artificial systems with the body.
Finally, participants will explore practical strategies for protecting human health, preserving biological integrity, and maintaining awareness in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Carrie Madej has a great love for humanity and the sacredness of life. Her trust and faith are in our Creator and Father in Heaven and Yeshua/Jesus Christ. His only begotten son who sacrificed His life to save us.
Carrie believes that the body, mind, and spirit are equally important in achieving wellness, and that the balanced body has the inherent ability to heal itself. She believes a physician should be a teacher of health to the patient, as well as identify the causes of dis-ease, in order to have an optimal body.
Originally from Dearborn, Michigan, she received her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medical Biosciences in 2001. She currently dedicates her time educating others on vaccines, nanotechnology, and human rights via multiple platforms and speaking engagements.
